Obviously we were delusional in thinking we didn't have enough to do, so we signed the cubs up for tee-ball. Practice began on Sunday and we are already having scheduling conflicts. Yikes. Now is the time for us to figure out which sport each cub likes better because we are not doing this in the fall. One sport per child. Period. Foot down.
Anyway, Emily is the only girl on the team, but I don't think she'll have any trouble. She is just as big and strong as some of those boys. Go get 'em, Emily!!!

Joining the ranks of the "soccer mom".
Sadly I haven't posted since December and even then it wasn't a post about Christmas. Or Thanksgiving. My post in December was about Halloween. How pathetic. Let's face it, updating the blog crosses my mind often but never seems to get done, no matter how good my intentions may be. I'm sure you are wondering....yes, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving (at Grandma and Grandpa Bear's house) and our Christmas was even more wonderful....we are very blessed with amazing family and friends!! If we jump past January to today, this blog would be all about soccer. You read that right. I am now a "soccer mom". Holy cow, what were we thinking??!!??!! Not only does Steve still work every other weekend (how am I going to manage separate games and separate times?!?), but the cubs are on different teams, although I specifically requested they be placed on a co-ed team (of course). All of our friends are on co-ed teams, but somehow the cubs are not (figures!!). Now my calendar is full of soccer practices and soccer games. I am not lying when I tell you that one week soon the only days I will not be "soccering" will be Sunday and Friday. Five days of soccer. In one week. Someone might want to call to make sure I survive this. I am a little concerned.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, we signed them up for T-ball too. God help me!!

Halloween 2011
Halloween costuming went much better this year than last. Z decided he wanted to be a policeman...and he was...for every event. Fine by me. Emily was a black cat or a lady bug, depending on the event.
Here are a few photos from a few of our "appearances":

New addition to the family
In September we added another baby to our circus. Everyone, meet Marlow!!
Am I cute or what???
I have a feeling she will fit right in here.
We woke up one morning to find this: Emily asleep next to Marlow's crate. LOVE.
Look at the size difference between Whiskers and Marlow. Rest assured, it won't last long....but Whiskers is still the boss.
Emily with her kitty and her doggy. Notice the death-grip on Marlow's neck. Good thing Marlow is great with the cubs.
What on earth is going on here???:
Yep, should have known! Our attention-hog!!
At play.
A face anyone can love.
Zach won't admit it, but I think he likes her too!:
I love how Schnauzers sit with their back legs behind them.:
Everyone, meet Marlow. Marlow, this is everyone!
New Fire Department
We attended the town's celebration in honor of the new Fire Department. It was dreadfully hot, and right after lunch, creating a high risk for disaster. Luckily, we all survived, just barely.
It was a 'Wocket' and 'Husky' kind of day. Last minute desperation on our behalf to keep the cubs content...these stuffed little guys are never allowed in public, except in emergencies.
Waiting patiently for their balloon animals.
We waited over an hour for this. In 100+ degree heat. The balloon popped as we were walking to the car. Barely survived the aftermath. Em cried and cried but we were NOT going back for another one.
